Clark Fork Delta Scenic Paddle - INTERMEDIATE+

This is a beauty of an all day paddle.
Skill: Intermediate and Advanced Paddlers only!
Distance: 16-18 miles.
Conditions: Potentially very choppy on the lake.
Ability to paddle 3-4 miles without stopping.
We will have lunch break and a rest room is at the Monarch Island after paddling the Pend Oreille. Then we will paddle through Johnson Creek where there is another one. We can take another break before we cross the Clark Fork, then up another scenic channel to Pend Oreille Lake again. It is a big loop. So must be able to paddle 3 to 4 miles without stopping.
This is 23 miles southeast of Sandpoint an almost 2 hr drive but well worth the beauty of it. Invasive species sticker required and can be purchased at boat check just out of Newport also online at https://idfg.idaho.gov/info/boat-stickers
Bring : food, liquids, sunscreen, bug spray sunglasses,hat,change of clothes. Emergency info in your PFD.
INDIVIDUALS MUST STAY WITH THE GROUP AND WEAR A PFD & WHISTLE WHILE PADDLING.
Paddler Responsibility: Each paddler is responsible for choosing outings they can handle comfortably and assumes full responsibility for their participation.

Cancellation/updates: Wind, smoke, high temperatures or other conditions could result in event cancellation. If so, the Host will update on Meetup. Please check before coming.
