Porcupine Bay flat water paddle part 2

Details

This event will be part two of my exploration of Porcupine Bay on Lake Roosevelt. It has sandy shores and beautiful scenery. We plan to paddle for 2 hours, take a lunch break and return. Total time out will be 4 to 5 hours. I had such a wonderful time there last week that I decided to return to explore more. The launch site is easy with lots of parking. Discovery Pass required.


Type of Boat: Recreational and up. Kayak or Canoe

Dress for cold water temperature and possible bad weather.


Good Items to Bring: Dry bags, spray skirt, emergency contact info, headlamp, water shoes, change of clothes & towel (in case you get wet), sunhat, sunscreen, sunglasses with retainer. Bring drinking water and snacks/lunch.


Membership is $20/year. Please pay ahead of time to avoid extra work for our volunteer hosts. https://www.meetup.com/spokane-canoe-and-kayak-club/


Paddler Responsibility: Each paddler is responsible to choose outings they can handle comfortably and show up at the put-in prepared and responsible for what the event entails.


Cancellation/updates: Wind, smoke, or excessive choppy water conditions could result in event cancellation. Please check Meetup before driving there.
