Kayak Repair CLINIC

Details

This is a repeat of clinic #1 of our fall 2024/winter 2025 clinic series. I decided to conduct a repeat class due to the high demand. Clinics are available to SCKC club members free of charge. Space is limited as this will be held in my garage. I will have a space heater running and hopefully it won't be too cold to work on our kayaks.

Session #1 topics : deck lines, bungee cords, rudder lines, rudder disassembly, footpegs, and skeg lines.

The next clinic in January will be about kayak cockpit outfitting.

The first hour of session #1 will use one of my kayaks for demonstration purposes. The second hour will be open for any of the attendee's kayaks. If you want to bring a kayak needing repair, I will assist you in its repair or discuss the necessary procedures in order for you to do the repair at home. I will choose which kayaks to work on for this class which will be of the most educational benefit to the class.

There may be a charge for materials used on your kayak of course. The clinics are meant to be educational in nature. If all you want is a repaired kayak, then this class is not for you. Please purchase any necessary materials for your kayak beforehand.

Do not park on Marshall ave. Park on Lacey or Nelson so as to not disturb my neighbors.
