This will be the MOST FUN paddle of the summer. We will launch from the north side parking lot of Liberty Lake at 5:30pm. It is imperative that you bring a headlamp or a boat light. Bring a chair and snacks and a joke for laughs after we get the kayaks back in their snug resting places.

All paddler skills are welcome. We are happy to help newer boaters.

Amenities: Ample parking and restrooms are available at the put-in.YOU MUST STAY WITH THE GROUP AND WEAR A PFD & WHISTLE.

REQUIRED:

• Type of Boat: Recreational and up. Kayak or Canoe or SUP

• Current SCKC Meetup membership & WAIVER. Membership is $20/year. Please pay ahead of time to avoid extra work for our volunteer coordinators. https://www.meetup.com/spokane-canoe-and-kayak-club/

• Paddler Responsibility: Each paddler is responsible for choosing outings they can handle comfortably and assumes full responsibility for their participation.

• Dress for water temperature and weather. Bring a change of clothes & towel (in case you get wet).

• Good Items to Bring: Dry bags, spray skirt, emergency contact info, water shoes, sunhat, sunscreen, sunglasses with retainer, drinks and snacks.

Cancellation/updates: Wind, smoke, high temperatures or other conditions could result in event cancellation. If so, the Host will update on Meetup. Please check before coming.

NOTE: If it is windy, inflatable or "bathtub" boats (i.e. the ones that have no way to steer!) are not recommended. If you are wondering about the wind, check it out on the Windy App https://windy.app/.
