BRING A HEADLAMP! Let's go out for a bite/drink afterwards!
This is an easy out and back paddle exploring the river. All paddlers are welcome. We are happy to help newer boaters. We will keep a steady pace for the 2 hours. If the group is large, we'll splint into faster and slower groups. Bring your headlamp with you on the water if you don't have kayak lights.
Discover Pass https://discoverpass.wa.gov/Parking: unload in the paved parking lot then park on Upriver Drive if needed.Amenities: Parking is challenging. There is no restroom available.

Arrive early enough to be ready for start time. We are happy to help unload and load your boats.
INDIVIDUALS MUST STAY WITH THE GROUP AND WEAR A PFD & WHISTLE WHILE PADDLING.
Type of Boat: Recreational and up. Kayak or Canoe

Good Items to Bring: Dry bags, Spray Skirt, emergency contact info, headlamp, water shoes, change of clothes & towel (in case you get wet), sunhat, sunscreen, sunglasses with retainer.
Always bring drinking water and snacks.
Membership is $20/year. Please pay ahead of time to avoid extra work for our volunteer hosts. https://www.meetup.com/spokane-canoe-and-kayak-club/Paddler Responsibility: Each paddler is responsible to choose outings they can handle comfortably and show up at the put-in prepared and responsible for what the event entails.
Cancellation/updates: Wind, smoke, high temperatures or other conditions could result in event cancellation. If so, the Host will update on Meetup. Please check before coming.

How to find us
Park in paved parking lot, carry your boat down to the beach using the Centennial Trail. If the parking lot is full, unload in the lot then park on the street. We'll help.
